Signed Original Print from Legendary Artist William T. Wiley
We're thrilled to offer an exclusive opportunity to own an original print from William T. Wiley, the 'Funk Artist'—and father of Brandeis Marin's beloved Athletic Director, "Coach" Zane Wiley.
William T. Wiley (1937–2021) was a groundbreaking American artist and a key figure in the Funk Art movement, playing a pivotal role in the acclaimed experimental art program at UC Davis alongside Robert Arneson, Roy De Forest, and Wayne Theibaud. Known for his sharp wit, wordplay, and thought-provoking social commentary, Wiley worked across painting, drawing, and sculpture. His work blends humor with deep insight, earning a place in major collections like the Whitney and SFMOMA. This is a unique chance to own a piece by one of contemporary art’s most original voices.

"Art, politics, war, global warming, foolishness, ambition, hypocrisy, and irony are summoned by Wiley’s fertile imagination and recorded in the personal vocabulary of symbols, puns and images that fill his objects."
- Joann Moser, Smithsonian American Art Museum
"For over 50 years, Wiley has distinguished himself as an artist who challenges the precepts of mainstream art. His work is not readily classifiable into any movement or stylistic trend. Combining humble materials, found objects, personal symbols, enigmatic texts, and references to art history, popular culture, and current events, he has developed a distinctive style that allows for variety, invention, and subtlety."
